Technical Short Information: HTC Technology (High Temperature Ceramics)

The HTC technology of the Intensatec Group is a highly efficient system for thermal process optimisation. Through the use of special shaped ceramic blocks in the combustion chamber of boiler plants (gas/oil), the utilisation of the fuel employed is significantly improved.

1. The mode of operation

The HTC ceramic acts inside the boiler like an energetic catalyst, through four main effects:

• Optimal heat distribution: The ceramic swirls the combustion gases and guides them closer to the boiler walls. Cold zones are eliminated, heat transfer rises.
• Infrared radiant heat: The white-hot ceramic releases heat as radiation. Physically, this is more efficient than pure flame heat and ensures more complete combustion.
• Heat storage effect (“warm start”): The ceramic stores the heat. During burner pauses the boiler cools down more slowly. On restarting, the operating temperature is reached more quickly, which saves fuel and reduces wear.
• Pollutant reduction: Owing to the higher combustion quality, emissions (CO2 and NOx) as well as soot formation fall markedly.

2. Installation and safety

• Plug & Play: Installation takes place without structural alteration to the boiler system.
• High-performance material: The ceramic is resistant to thermal shock (tested and applied under the most extreme temperature conditions) and maintenance-free.
• Field of application: Suitable for hot water, high-temperature hot water and steam boilers from 300 kW to 30 MW.

3. Maximum security through the Intensatec guarantee

We know the effect of our technology. We therefore offer a zero-risk guarantee for boiler plants up to a flow temperature of 110 degrees:

• Validated measurement: The saving is documented by a transparent before/after measurement procedure.
• Guarantee of success: Should the forecast values not be achieved, the customer has the right to renegotiation or to complete removal.
• Payment security: In the event of removal, Intensatec refunds all payments made within 7 working days.
